SBO是做什么的?

学生团体主任 are members and representatitves of the 雪的大学 Student 协会(SCSA). SBO's are responsible for creating an inviting, engaging, and helpful atmosphere across 雪的大学's campus. We are in charge of many campus wide events, but also do a lot of the background work to make sure that Snow's students are being represented and supported. Our efforts are a big part of what makes Snow, 感觉像雪. In addition to joining a great and supportive team, SBO's are given additional leadership training, networking opportunities and experience that leads to many great opportunities after Snow.

SCSA elections - What's the process?
  • The SBO Application and Campaign Guidelines, to run for elections, will become available on 1月. 1st, 2024, through the application link below.
  • Application and all other Guideline requirements must be completed through the online 应用程序通过 周四 2月. 15th, 2024.
  • Election Preliminary Interviews begin the next day, 2月. 16th, 2024.
    • Sign up for an interview as you submit your application online.  
  • Election candidates will be notified of their eligibility to run on 2月. 20th, 2024, and may begin preparations for campaigning.
  • 竞选活动于 周一2月. 26日晚上9点.m.，并贯穿 Friday March 1st, @ 3 p.m. 投票开始于 28日星期三.
  • Winners will be notified after the close of elections on 3月1日星期五.
  • A celebration dinner/training will be held on 3月12日 对于民选官员.

I don't want to run for election but I want to be an SBO...
  • Appointed position applications also open online (through the link below) on 1月. 1st, 2024.

    • If you run for an elected position but are not elected, we encourage you to also apply for an appointed position.
  • Appointed positions are open to anyone admitted to 雪的大学, including incoming 大一新生.
  • Applicants will be notified by 2024年3月14日 if they are selected to attend the 领导 Day.
  • 领导 Day (round 2 of application) will take place on 雪的大学's campus 2024年3月22日.
    • 领导 Day attendance is mandatory for an applicant to be considered for a position. 
  • 指定位置 will be notified in April if they are selected.

Executive Council - Student Body President and VP's

The Student Body President represents the voice of Snow's students to the 雪的大学 Board of Trustees as well as to other colleges and universities across the state of 犹他州. They also direct, guide and support the 学生团体主任 in 学生生活.

Assisting the Student Body President are three Vice-Presidents. 每个副总裁 assists the President to direct, guide and support the 学生团体主任, and the students of Snow in their prospective responsiblities. 

The Vice-Presidential Roles are:

  • 营销副总裁
Department Senators (Athletics, 业务, Fine Arts, Humanities & 社会科学 & 阀杆)

Department Senators coordinate with and represent a specific section of the student PG电子官方免费下载. Each member also sits on the Student Fee Financial Board and determines appropriate use of student fees.

This position is the only appointed member of the Executive Council. 执行 助理:

  • Assists the other members of the Executive Council accomplish their responsibilities.
  • Organizes team recognition and celebrations.
  • Takes minutes of meetings and councils.
  • Communicates updates with SBO team.

  • Act as professional representatives of 雪的大学 at all times.
  • Plan and execute weekly 学生生活 events.
  • Work as a team to lead and serve the student body of 雪的大学.
  • Collaborate with campus organizations to ensure diverse and inclusive activities.

In tandem with the programming board, Marketing SBO's will also:

  • Oversee and manage marketing design for 学生生活 activities.
    • (photo editing and graphic design preferred)
  • Manage Social media and other mediums of marketing communication.
  • Create and manage promotional campaignes for events.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Marketing & 通信.
Additional portfolio required with application.
俱乐部 and 多样性 Board
  • Assists the Vice President of 俱乐部 and 多样性.
  • Aids student clubs in club development and improvement.
  • Attends a variety of club meetings/events.
  • Helps to improve and promote diversity and inclusion efforts across campus.
